CANDY CANTU

Candy is the owner and founder of Aerial Candy. Candy spent years as professional dancer specializing in Pole, Aerial , Fire and Go-Go. Candy was a resident dancer for Zhantra Entertainment, Miami ; Sax Dinner Theatre Show, Washington D.C.; and Manor, Washington DC.  Candy holds instructors certification from Discoveries Dance and Diva Fit . She also holds a Yoga RYT 200 , trauma yoga, and A & P yoga certification. Candy is currently attending school for Physical Therapy and working on her NASM CPT. Candy has eight years of professional performance and a decade of teaching experience.  Candy has won multiple awards in a variety of competitions.

SHERRIE NEGLEY

Sherri has been teaching lyra ( aerial hoop) and aerial silks at Aerial Candy since it's opening in March 2019. Sherri has an athletic background, but become bored with just working out at a gym. she started studying lyra in Baltimore in early 2014 and fell in love with the challenges and athleticism of circus arts. Shortly after she picked up silks and has slowly been branching out to other apparatuses She is currently working on tippy lyra and loopy straps. Sherri thrives on the energy and friendships made at Aerial Candy. she enjoys performing and sharing her love aerial with all of our students. One of her passions is helping students fine tune their choreography and helping them prep for showcases and competitions.

AMY MCCORD

Amy has been practicing aerial arts and pole fitness since 2012. Since that time, she has performed at numerous showcases and events in the Baltimore and DC area, and has won medals in aerial silks and specialty apparatus. Amy is trained on multiple aerial apparatuses including silks, lyra, straps, and cube,  and specializes in routines that showcase strength and endurance. Amy has been training at Aerial Candy since its opening, first as a student, then substitute teacher, and is currently the resident instructor for Tuesday night open practice. Her coaching style focuses on building strength through lots of conditioning while having a little bit of fun!
