Our Aerial Dance Studio offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible. Have a look at our class schedule below to find the one that best fits your needs.
INTRO TO SILKS Level 1
Interested in trying silks for the first time ?
First time trying aerial? Looking to brush up on the basics? This class is for you!
This class will include basic wrist locks, the aerial dance (standard) climb, Russian climb, basic inversion drills, basic slip knot work and figure 8 foot locks from the ground. It is recommended that students brand new to aerial take this class at least four to five times prior to beginning Level 2 classes. If you are able to climb, tie foot locks, and invert unassisted, you are ready to move up.
Classes are Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Aerial Silks Level Two
Thursdays at 7:00 PM.
You should be able to perform both left and right aerial dance and Russian climbs to the top of the silks as well as feel comfortable with putting on wrist locks, figure 8 foot locks, inverting unassisted and tying a slip knot.
In this level you will start to put together basic silks choreography as well as start to learn hip keys and aerial dance (eat beater) foot locks.
AERIAL SILKS Level Three
Intermediate Silks – Level 3
You should be able to string together three basic sequences in the air, cleanly execute figure 8 foot locks AND aerial dance (egg beater) locks in the air, cleanly invert, consistently kip key.
This class will be focused on more advanced sequencing in the air, this will included more advanced drops and rotations.
All Levels All Apparatuses Tuesday at 8:00-9:30PM
OPEN GYM RULES:
All open gym times are supervised practice of things you already know and feel comfortable working on.
No student is to teach another student during this time. You are welcome to bring your own personal apparatus! Specialty apparatuses include Aerial Moon, Aerial mini cube, Aerial Straps, Aerial Chains, Aerial Net, Aerial Pole, Aerial Loopy Straps, Aerial sphere, Aerial Mini Lyra.
Beginner/Intermediate Hoop Thursday 8:30-9:30PM
and Intro Hoop Sunday 2:15-3:15 PM
In this class you will learn about the hard apparatus aerial hoop also known as Lyra. You will learn entry into the Lyra and movements within the hoop and under the hoop.
Private lessons are excellent for students looking to do one on one instruction, nail down a trick, work privately on choreography , run a routine and more.
Private lessons do not allow videographers , friends or family must wait outside in the lobby.
